First Look: Storm Cag (Tuiliq)
www.kokatat.com
Don’t let a sudden rain storm or cold snap stop your fun! The storm cag is perfect if it is getting cold or windy out on the water but you can't land to put on another layer.
This one-piece combination jacket and spray skirt cover is designed to be worn over existing clothing and PFD in inclement weather on or off the water. This piece also functions in an emergency when needed for extra insulation or when dealing with an injured paddler. When not in use, the Storm Cag is highly compressible and can be rolled into the hood for compact storage and tucked behind a seat back or into a day hatch.
This full coverage pullover has an integrated shock cord rand to assure a secure fit over the spray skirt, and is an oversize cut to provide full mobility over outerwear and life vest. Other features include dual adjustable hood with internal foam bill, large, zippered front cargo pocket with pass-through for access to PFD, pile-lined handwarmer pocket, zippered self draining pocket on sleeve, and reflective tape on hood and sleeves.
This waterproof and breathable cag easily attaches over your spray deck and your PFD for instant protection from changing conditions. No need to take your buoyancy aid off.
It packs down small to fit in a day hatch or under deck rigging. The hood can be adjusted to fit snugly against your head and moves with you.
Some have a pile lined hand warming pouch, exterior mesh pocket, and zippered access to the interior of the cag so you can get at the pockets in your lifejacket. Adjustable neoprene cuffs seal tightly to keep water out.
Like most cags, a storm cag is designed to be worn over both your spray deck and buoyancy aid. You can also use it instead of a spray deck.
Comfy All Purpose Cag
Once you get one you’ll love this comfortable cag, both on and off the water. One size usually fits all. We like the integral hood with volume adjuster straps for a snug fit. Reflective patches on hood and cuff for added safety. You can fit a warm fleece hand pouch into front, just below the large front pocket with Velcro flap cover and drainage holes.
Off The Water
Come lunchtime or the end of the day this cag is excellent around camp. It will cover everything, helping you to keep your temperature up.
Sitting on the shore or in damp conditions, your seat will stay dry. If you pull your knees up you can keep your legs and knees snug underneath.
The cag comes with a cosy fleece-lined snap on thermal hand warmer as an extra little luxury after a cold days paddling.
Long bodied hem providing a good spray cover for all decks, incorporating a 6mm high-tension shock cord and grab loop.
